FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
