It has been confirmed that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the latest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
An Important Return to Panem
The actors are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. Speculation suggests their cameos will take the form of a flash-forward sequence, considering the main film series concluded with their characters settled into family life.

Sunrise on the Reaping draws its story from a 2025 novel by author Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who was behind nearly all the previous films in the series.
