The loved ones of young people missing after a devastating fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for any details about their children via social media.

The fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and hurt another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to name the other six.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on the internet to plead for any news about their loved ones who were in attendance that evening.

Appeals for the Missing

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An representative has stated that a official announcement of his death is still pending.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the bar.
